It's all part of the process but I really feel like my new work is on a completely different level from anything I have done in the past and each new work seems to eclipse the last. Its a great feeling and one I'll try to never lose.

Went to comic con with my heart on my sleeve and bared my soul (also known as a "portfolio"  to some legends, editors, and a couple of my personal heroes... to my disbelief the response was resoundingly positive, everyone said I have what it takes, I just need more examples of a few specific things and I'm in. I'm still in shock! People are so open and receptive there, made some unbelievable contacts.

Speaking of awesome people, met so many new friends, some that I once looked to for inspiration! One day Jana lost her phone, I tried to reassure her that SDCC was full of great people and sure enough, next day someone had turned it in to lost and found. Such a great experience. Only thing I didn't get was some original Jim Lee art. All in all a 9.9 out of 10! Exhausting but unbelievably great.

If only life could be like Burning man... 2012 was epic, still savoring the memories daily.

Surfed 15 foot waves in Hanalei Bay, Kauai, fell in love with that island all over again.

6 classes + work + life is difficult.

Caffein is a necessity.

Did i mention I hit the reef in Kauai and took out about a quarter sized chunk of my foot along with about 15 slices? Shockingly, it was worth it.

Figure drawing classes are finally starting to click, such a different approach but its pushing and extending my limits with every class.

So, im spinning poi/glowstringing, surfing and snowboarding (almost time!) my brains out, writing, making music again (but seriously for the first time) and about to start drawing like my pencil is on fire. It's like a personal renaissance.

Burning man was epic, it reignited my flame and filled me with inspiration. Not the flash then flicker kind of inspiration but the deep molten core of the earth kind of fire that you only get from something significant in your life.

There is an art to everything.
Remember to enjoy your lives because your the one that has to die when its time for you to die so don't let anyone tell you how to live, just try to live well.
